Jardins des Archives Nationales : Inside the Hôtel de Soubise, surely the most splendid hotel in the Marais, the Jardins des Archives Nationales were opened to the public in 2011.

This magnificent green space is made up of gardens that were once the property of various private mansions (the Rohan, Assy, Breteuil, Fontenoy and Jaucourt hotels).

In the heart of the Marais, this little-known address will offer you a delicious romantic setting and will transport you between the 18th century, when the district was the centre of Parisian intellectual and social life, and the 19th century, the apogee of the Second Empire architectural style (of which one of the masterpieces is the Garnier Opera).

The Picasso Museum : Housed in the Hôtel Salé, one of the most beautiful private mansions in the Marais, the Picasso Museum presents more than 5,000 works and archives. A unique collection that allows you to discover both the artist’s work and his creative process.

Inaugurated in 1985, the Picasso Museum brings together works acquired through various gifts and donations. First of all, that of Picasso’s heirs, then others made from 1980 onwards by friends and relatives of the artist. A major acquisition policy was then carried out by the State, making the museum one of the most important in the world concerning the work and life of Picasso.

Stroll in the Marais : This walk takes you to discover the marsh, an area located between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris. Spared by the great Haussmannian works, it is above all a district with exceptional architecture where sumptuous private mansions, museums and shopping streets cohabit in a typically Parisian atmosphere.

A district which knew its golden age in the 17th century, called the Grand Siècle, born after Henri IV’s decision to build a sublime square dedicated to strolling : the Place des Vosges, the first royal square in Paris.
